James Brown is among the top 5 most important popular musicians of the last century. Except for Dylan or Neil Young, Brown's records are on my player more that anybody else's. I'll miss him.

More than just another giant that won't be walking the earth anymore, JB was probably THE giant of our time. We all live in the rhythmic world he created. Thanks for the music.
An electrifying performer, yes. I also like hw he helped to showcase recordings by the members of his band. Thanks.
