Sad news
R.I.P. Randy Bewley of Pylon. What a band they were, what a great guitar player.
More here.
Hell hell hell. This one really hurts.

Rock & Roll made a man out of me.

These songs are posted as samples. They'll be gone in seven days.
If you like something go buy a copy.
And go see a band play this weekend.

That is sad....what is happening? I don't know if you know but my good friend Antoinette K-Doe died yesterday, unexpectedly. On Mardi Gras.
Thinking about Randy Bewley: I didn't know him, but I've met the singer Vanessa, one of those unique southern people--oddball, they seem to have different manners than everyone else, not bad, but different, until when you are around them, their world view subtly colors everything.
When we were coming up all the good bands had some van-driving working man on guitar with names like Randy or Ed or Rick - they had weird record collections that would be real strong in some unlikely band like Steely Dan or Todd Rundgren. They were never like the front men who had to use words to speak for the band, that would be beneath them, though some of them could handle themselves very well in that sphere. I sound like a front man now, generalizing about it.
