Pink Section
A couple weeks ago I posted a link to the Inflatable Boy Clams. Two of the members of that group were also in a group called Pink Section that put out a single in 1979. It’s a fun record that's punky and arty. The guitar player is good on this song.
Pink Section was from San Francisco and apparently got their name from the entertainment section of the San Francisco Chronicle. This makes researching the band a little bit harder. There is supposed to be another single from 1978 but I’ve never seen it. The band also had several songs included CAN YOU HEAR ME?, a live LP recorded at the Deaf Club in San Francisco.
From 1980, here's a video of the band playing Yoko Ono's "Midsummer New York".

Pink Section put out another 12-inch EP after this single. It's also great, bouncy new wave.
Its available here...http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.com/2007/04/pink-section-st-12-ep-1980-usa.html. I like it more than Shopping/Tour of China. Great photo in the insert which always reminds me of the B52s
